ISHUTIN YAKOV NIKOLAEVICH

DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF THE ALTAI REGION

Thank you for invitation to take part in the conference of the “UNITED RUSSIA” Party Project “St. Petersburg – the sea capital of RUSSIA”.

By present day at Altai Region rivers two-hour pleasure routs along Ob and Biya rivers are made. At the mountain part of the Katun river vacationers may have a rafting service combined with Altai sightseeing. But there is a range of problems on the way of tourist rout development in the region – water infrastructure deficiency, high level of vessel depreciation, insufficient water level in the rivers for passing of comfortable vessels.

Taking into consideration current interest of the issues put on discussion at the conference that influence not only transport branch but tourism attractiveness of the region as well we support this event.

LARIN EVGENY VLADIMIROVICH

MINISTER OF TOURISM AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALTAI

Thank you for invitation to take part in the II International conference “St. Petersburg – the sea capital of RUSSIA. Sea tourism”. Definitely creation of up-to-date passenger water traffic system as one of priorities in state policy requires discussion of various problems including improvements in normative-legal base. Fifty-year history and rapid development of water tourism in our region in recent years helped us to get the leading position among regions of the Siberian Federal District. Annually during summer tourist season hundred thousand tourists under the leadership of experienced guides perform rafts on small vessel of different types over water objects of the Republic of Altai. Altai water-sportsmen are Champions of Russia, Europe and World and holders of the World Cups in rafting.

Taking into consideration regional traditional specification of active tourism development and particularly in part concerning water tourism Ministry of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Altai consider being urgent to discuss at the conference all issues that can serve as a base for further water tourism development at domestic traveling market.
