VIII International Forum «Ecology» will be held in Moscow

On March 20-21, 2017 within the framework of the Project "St. Petersburg is the Sea Capital of Russia" of the Party "UNITED RUSSIA" the VIII International Forum «Ecology» will be held in Congress Park at the Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow.

In accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 2017 in Russia is declared as the Year of Ecology. Among its most important tasks are the key decisions for the implementation of state policy in the field of environmental protection, improvement of environmental legislation and attraction of the maximum attention to environmental issues.

The organizer of the Forum is ANO "Public Forum" Ecology ", which Public Council is headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Ecology and Environmental Protection Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Nikolai Valuev. The Forum will be held with the support and participation of the Council of Federation, the State Duma, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources and other ministries and agencies.

It is expected that the Forum will be attended by more than 800 representatives from 60 regions of Russia and 10 foreign countries. Among the participants there are the representatives of relevant public authorities, scientific and public organizations, industrial and transport companies, organizations of urban utilities, eco-services, as well as designers, manufacturers and suppliers of environmental technologies and ecological equipment.

Business program of the Forum covers a wide range of issues related to regulatory and legal regulation in the sphere of environmental protection and waste management, upgrading of water and communal services, the introduction of best available technologies, development and implementation of regional programs on waste management. Also, the participants will discuss the issues of charging for negative impacts on the environment, the prevention and elimination of oil spills and others. Within the framework of the social agenda of the Forum there will be raised such topics as the implementation of the activities of the Year of Ecology, environmental education, etc. A number of special events will take place during the Forum, such as an open discussion on the prospects of "green" development of Russia. The participants will discuss the concept design of the sustainable ("green") development of the Russian Federation.

The aim of the Forum is to develop proposals on improvement of legislation and state policy in the sphere of environmental protection. All initiatives will be combined in a resolution sent to the public authorities. The Forum provides for an exhibition of 1500 square meters, where the latest ecological technologies and equipment will be presented.

Currently, the registration of forum participants is opened and there is the submission of proposals on the discussion areas of the forum and initiatives to the final Resolution.
