GlobalPORT-2011 «St. Petersburg — the Sea Capital of Russia. Transport security»

On the 21st-22nd of March 2011 within the framework of the project “Saint Petersburg — the Sea Capital of Russia” supported by the “United Russia” Party the I International conference “Transport Security” devoted to issues of security provision of the transport complex of Russia will be held in St. Petersburg.

Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya, 4**** is the venue of the I International conference «Transport Security».

Issues of legislative provision of transport security, creation of modern system of solutions for prevention of various kinds of threats that may disturb operation of cargo and passenger transport; aspects of vulnerability assessment of transport infrastructure objects and transport means; introduction of innovations into the transport security system; security provision of transportations of dangerous goods will be raised at the I International conference “Transport Security”.

Two plenary sessions will be held at the conference. The participants will discuss implementation of the state policy in sphere of transport security provision and prospects of application of the innovative approach to provision of security of transport and transport infrastructure objects. Within the framework of the event parallel working sessions on issues of security provision on air, railway, automobile, sea and river transport will take place.

Conference “Transport Security” will be held with support and participation of the Ministry of Transport of the RF, Ministry of Emergency Situations of the RF, Ministry on Internal Affairs of the RF, Federal Highway Agency, Federal Agencies of Railway, Air, Sea and River Transport, Federal Security Service of the RF, Security Council of the RF and the Security Committee of the State Duma of the RF. Administrations of over 30 Russian regions, delegates from the near and far-abroad countries, representatives of the largest airports, ports, railway stations, transport companies, designers of transport security systems, companies performing insurance and vulnerability assessment of transport facilities, transport research institutes and transport universities will take part in the event.

Decisions made at the conference will be fixed in the Resolution to be submitted to the respective ministries and agencies in order to improve the transport security legislation.
