The I International Conference "Transport Security" will be attended by deputy heads of federal services and agencies subordinate to the Ministry of Transport of Russia, and also representatives of the territorial departments located in North-West Federal District.

The following speakers will address a meeting at the plenary session of the conference:
- Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation V.A. Olersky on the topic "State Policy in the sphere of ensuring transport security";
- Deputy Head of Federal Service of Transport Supervision V.B. Chertok on the topic "State supervision of transportation security."

The Deputy Head of the Federal Agency of Air Transport N.Y. Zakhryapin  will participate in the working session №1 "Air Transport Security"; he will make a presentation entitled "Peculiarities of the realization of federal law on February 9, 2007 № 16-FZ "On transport security" in respect of transport infrastructure and means of air transport".

The Deputy Head of the Federal Agency of Railway Transport V.Y. Chepets  will participate in the working session №3 "Railway Transport and Subway Security"; he will speak on the topic "Implementation of measures to ensure transport security in the North West Territorial Administration".

The Head of Federal State Institution "Sea Security Service" A.B. Alyabyev  will take word in the working session №4, "Sea and River Transport Security"; he will speak on the topic "Security of civilian and cargo shipping in areas endangered by pirates. Russian and international experience".

Federal Air Transport Agency has considered the issue of participation in the I International conference “St. Petersburg — the Sea Capital of RUSSIA. Transport Security”.

Taking into account the fact that the issues to be raised at the event concern aviation and transport security, representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency will take part in the conference and are ready to report on provision of air transport security.

Russian and international experience" are directed to participate in the I International conference "Saint-Petersburg - the Sea Capital RUSSIA. Transport Security" from the Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport.

Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District supports the events the main objective of which is to attract Russian and world public to the modern problems of transport security.

Currently, large-scale projects in the sphere of extraction of raw hydrocarbon deposits in Pechora oil-and-gas bearing province are being carried out on the territory of the Nenets Autonomous District. In this connection, issues of security during transportation of hydrocarbons, including sea transport, are very crucial in our region. In addition, aviation is the only kind of transport that connects the settlements of the Nenets Autonomous District and other regions year-round, that is why aviation security is a priority for the authorities of Nenets Autonomous District.

I wish you success in the I International Conference "Transport Security". I am convinced that only joint efforts can help in solving problems of the protection of transport infrastructure against acts of illegal interference and anthropogenic threats.
