On the 11th — 12th of December a conference «St.Petersburg — the Sea Capital of Russia. Manpower policy» took place in St.Petersburg within the framework of the Project of the Political party «United Russia».
More than 100 representatives of sea and shipbuilding community, branch educational institutions from 20 regions of the country, bodies of legislature and executive power of all levels took part in the conference.
The conference contributed to consolidation of relations between authority, business and educational institutions by establishing a working ground for cooperation of all participants of the process of preparing specialists for the branch in order to work out effective measures to reconstruct the system of affordable vocational education.
The conference aroused great interest among representatives of transport and industrial organizations and associations, branch vocational and scientific institutions, showed great urgency of aims to raise the system of preparing specialists to a significantly new level.
Recommendations and offers of the participants of the Conference, included in the final resolution, will be submitted for consideration by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, branch ministries and departments.
