PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP AS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL OF DEVELOPMENT OF HR CAPACITY.
The State decisions related to the development of shipbuilding and transport industries of Russia require highly skilled personnel of different qualification. At the same time, the staff training in such high-tech fields as shipbuilding and shipping is particularly costly process. The maintenance and timely updating of the material and technical base requires significant investments. Educational institutions despite of support by regional authorities can not cope with this task. The customer — shipyards and shipping companies should intervene in this process by investing in development of material and technical base of educational institutions, providing the graduates with fringe benefits, extra payments to the students and teachers, paid trainings and etc. That guarantees the preparation of highly qualified professionals interested in working on such socially responsible businesses. We invite you to join the discussion about public-private partnership and staff training experience in various regions of our country within this session.

RISE OF PRESTIGE OF TRANSPORT AND SHIPBUILDING PROFESSIONS
Within the last ten years at plants of shipbuilding industry, on transport and in service branches the manpower problem has become critical. The process of scientific and engineering staff and labour becoming older is going on. It is connected with quick decrease of influx of young specialists, which also results from decrease of prestige of appropriate professions.
On account of the mentioned reasons, average age of specialists in many segments is now more than 55 years. The same concerns the system of education of the specialists. It is possible that in several years there will be no one to teach the necessary specialists in institutions of higher education, technical schools and vocational colleges.
For this reason solving of the manpower problem in the branch is impossible without creating conditions for increasing of prestige of the professionals working in it.
